Staff at the Hanging Gate in Chapel-en-le-Frith always go all out for Christmas and Halloween, decorating the entire pub.
But covid lockdowns and restrictions meant all their hard work wasn’t appreciated as normal over the festive period with the pub having to be closed.
So landlord Mark Thomas promised customers the winter wonderland would remain for a few weeks once the pub was allowed to reopen – never dreaming that would be in May!
So when the pub reopens on May 17, not only will the decorations still be on display, traditional turkey dinners and cheesy Christmas tunes will also be on offer.
Take a look at these great pictures showing the pub’s fantastic Christmas decorations.
