High winds prompt cancellation of Buxton's Saturday market
Saturday’s Buxton Market has been cancelled due to bad weather.
Organisers of the market, which takes place each week on Tuesday and Saturday, said this weekend’s planned market has been cancelled due to very high winds being forecast for the area.
Posting on social media, they added that they hoped to see customers next week for a special food and drink market.
According to the Met Office website, gusts of up to 45 miles per hour are forecast for Buxton tomorrow.
