Buxton’s specialist food market returns on Saturday

Though regulars such as Mycocks Butchers and Fitz's Fireside Pizza will there newcomers will be expanding the much-loved market’s range.

New stalls include:

Brocklesby’s Pies Holy Smoke Kebabs Hogg Norton artisan fruit liqueurs Todo Utz Vegan foods - to eat there or take home The Cheese Cavern - English and French cheeses Creative Kitchens - pies, quiches and cakes Tom's Brew Box Bar

Market Director Caitlin Bisknell told how because the market was open-air it was one of the safest places to shop.

She added: “We’re able to spread out easily - which allows us to maintain social distancing and to manage footfall around the market.

“And with a couple of days to go we’re hoping for that more stalls will join - with puddings, Italian and Mexican sauces and curries on sale too.

“But there’s no need to worry because non-foody favourite stalls selling pet food, plants, natural soaps, essential oils, soy candles and melts, clothing and accessories plus vintage and collectables will all be there too.

“We’re delighted that people are rediscovering Buxton Market and look forward to welcoming more people back this Saturday.”

Market director Caitlin said Buxton Market was one of the few markets locally which continued to trade throughout lock-down - and was currently having its ‘best ever year’.
