Thirty-one traders set up alongside the traditional market this weekend - spread out across Market Place from the Methodist Church to the Town Hall.
Market director Janet Miller told how the ‘buzzing’ outdoor trading area saw its biggest market in four years - with one shopper overheard saying ‘this is how it used to be’.

The full regular market reopened fully on June 3 - with the specialist food market also returning this month.
Community interest company Buxton Markets - set up to revitalise the market - are holding the Craft, Quirky, Vintage and Flea Market on the first Saturday of each month and the Food and Drink Special Market is held on the third Saturday each month.
Fellow market director John Estruch described Saturday as ‘buzzing without being overcrowded’.

“As Buxton residents ourselves we know how important it is to make sure that Buxton Market is a happy and safe place to shop.”
