Last month Mark Kenworthy, 54, who works at Ford dealership Evans Halshaw in Glossop, sold his 5,000th vehicle. In a career spanning over 25 years, the local lad has averaged an impressive 200 cars a year.

Mark said: “Seeing someone drive away in the vehicle that’s right for them, be that a newly passed learner, someone in their first family car or a business starting up in need of a commercial vehicle, is what it all comes down to.”

Having cruised past the 5,000 mark, the salesman is showing no signs of slowing down and is already on the hunt for his next career milestone.

Lee Swindells, Dealer Principal at Evans Halshaw Glossop, said: “Selling 5,000 vehicles is no mean feat. I’d like to congratulate him on his many successful years in the industry.”
