Wye Bridge serves up a treat for cider fans

A Buxton pub will be serving up ciders from around the UK during a 17-day festival later this month.

Up to 25 draught ciders will be on the menu at The Wye Bridge House between Friday July 11 and Saturday July 27, including some never previously available at the Fairfield Road pub, and others produced exclusively for the festival.

The selection will feature apple, pear and fruit ciders, and range from award-winning tipples to unusual flavours such as beetroot, rhubarb, ginger and chilli, and whisky cask cider.

Pub manager Adam Cunningham said: “The ciders have been sourced from across the UK and there is something to suit all palates.”

Among those on offer will be: Boxing Dog (Mr Whitehead’s Cider Co), Somerset Tree Shaker (Shepton Mallet Cider Mill), Hogfather (Orchard Pig), Doctors Orders (Green Valley Cider Ltd), Pear Shaped (Sandford Orchards) and Whisky Cask (Thistly Cross Cider).

Tasting notes will be available on all of the ciders.
