Trams run to and fro down a period street, passing under the Bowes-Lyon Bridge and climbing a mile and a half of track that provides breathtaking views of the surrounding Derbyshire countryside.
Experience the Woodland Walk & Sculpture Trail, which winds its way back to the village, or remain on the tram and be dropped off outside The Red Lion Pub and Tearooms.

A temporary exhibition ‘Tramway Tommies and Clippie Girls’ details the recruitment of men for the Army, which left many tramways short of staff for the tramcars. This is located next to the ‘Survive and Thrive the Electric Era’ exhibition in the village’s Derby Assembly Rooms.

Hide AdThere are guided tours and talks every day, so visitors will be able to find out even more about the site, its history, restoration projects and the trams.
Look out for special events throughout the year, including two Second World War events, anEdwardian event, a seaside event and the Starlight event at the end of the season which culminates in Halloween.
