Buxton Opera House is offering half-term events to remember, with the return of the OctoberFest for young people aged 2 to 18 years.

Buxton Opera House is offering half-term events to remember, with the return of the OctoberFest for young people aged 2 to 18 years.

The Opera House will throw open its doors from Sunday 26 to Friday 31 October, to offer creative events, messy play, laugh out loud comedy and lots of scary Halloween fun!

Performance highlights include a stage adaptation of Anthony Horowitz‘s bestselling children’s book The Falcon’s Malteser on October 29 at 2.30pm.

Festival favourite’s Comedy Club 4 Kids is back for a second year, with the best stand-ups from the UK circuit, delivering live comedy on Sunday, October 26 at 3pm.

Interactive musical theatre will come in the shape of The Snow Queen on October 27, at 2.30pm.

For older children there will be fun workshops such as Physical Theatre (for ages 14 to 18) on October 29 and Music Jam Session (ages 8 to 14) on October 29 at 2pm.

Singers can also enjoy OctoberFest Show Choir on October 28 at 2pm, a workshop to sing Halloween hits in harmony (for ages 14 to 18).

Spookacular attractions include Horror and Special Effects Make-up Workshop in the Opera House dressing rooms and a Spooky Roller Rave at The Octagon.
