The Shoestring Players to present Dick Whittington at Bakewell Town Hall

Dick Whittington and his cat will be arriving in Bakewell to take centre stage in a fun-filled, colourful pantomime.

The Shoestring Players are presenting the panto at the Town Hall from January 22 to 24 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Come along and see how Sarah the cook befriends Dick and their surprising encounter with the Sea Dame in her underwater world; see how Dick and Tommy the cat defeat King Rat and rid Old London Town of vermin and watch how our hero wins the hand of Alderman Fitzwarren’s daughter Alice.

Louise Allen plays Dick Whittington, Holly Feeney is Tommy the Cat and Abi Smith is cast as Alice.

The artistic director is Gill Shimwell, the production director Mick Partridge and the choreographer Diane Bradwell.

Tickets are £6.50 for adults and £3.50 for under 14s and are on sale at The Bakewell Bookshop.
