Talk on John Smedley knitwear at Chesterfield Pomegranate Theatre
Discover fascinating facts about an internationally-renowned, Derbyshire-based, knitwear company.
Jane Middleton-Smith will give a talk entitled John Smedley Now and Then on Thursday, February 5, at 11am in the bar of Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre.
Using slides of historic garments from the archive, Jane will explain the designs in relation to social period. She will also cover how some earlier designs have had a ‘makeover’ for use today. Links with wartime clothing issues will be included.
