Experience drama, passion and excitement as a cast of talented West End actors and musicians tell Buddy Holly’s story, from his meteoric rise to fame to his final legendary performance at The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Aged just 22 at the time of his death in 1959, Holly has been described as one of the most influential rock ‘n’ roll stars who ever lived, pioneering his own style of songwriting which has since become the standard template for rock ‘n’ roll.

The multi award-winning show features two hours of Buddy Holly music, including favourites such as That’ll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Rave On, La Bamba, Chantilly Lace, Johnny B. Goode, Raining In My Heart, Everyday, Shout and many more.

The show has gained rave reviews for drawing in the audience and stepping back in time with compelling drama, incredible covers of the music, and authentic 50s costumes and sets.

Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story will be performed at Buxton Opera House from Monday September 9 to Saturday September 14, at 7.30pm, with Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
