Jason said: “The folks at The Loft and Matlock Festival wanted a night of chuckles and we have duly delivered, bringing top class comedians from all over the world to this lovely Peak District town.

“I think you will really enjoy this night of funny men, the likes of which Matlock has never seen before.”

Master of ceremonies Phil Ellis will introduce comedians Wes Zaharuk and Rob Carter...and one very special guest.

Wes He credits his comic roots to his parents, who made ‘not listening’ an Olympic event. As a child, his parents dressed him in wool pants that were incredibly itchy. Complain as he would, his words fell on deaf ears.

When he developed a skin condition that looked like a large, all-dressed pizza, he was tested for allergies. It was found that he was allergic to wool.

Through it all, Wes, developed his desire to be heard — if only to reduce rash.

Early in his career Zaharuk’s fast paced razor wit caught on quickly. Soon he became one of the most requested comedian at clubs, colleges and corporations through North America. He appeared on America’s Funniest People.

An eccentric collection of stupid prop tricks and crazy antics have earned this one-man tour de force bookings across the world including e Cyprus, Israel and Australia.

Rob Carter won the 2012 Musical Comedy Awards, having been gigging since 2009.

He started entertaining people as a member of the renowned Cambridge Footlights whose alumni include John Cleese and Eric Idle.
