Dixieland band are swinging into Buxton

World famous Dutch Swing College Band will be bringing their music to Buxton.

Their huge repertoire includes traditional favourites, fine originals, touches of Latin and Creole, Ellington and Basie tunes.

The setlist at Buxton’s Pavilion Arts Centre next month will feature numbers created by brilliant musicians who were able to blend together, play in any key and at any tempo.

Comprising seven of the finest jazz musicians, the Dutch Swing College Band’s live performances are a must see for music lovers.

The band was founded in the year that the Second World War ended and has gone from strength to strength. Today the ensemble boasts a large number of young and vibrant musicians, intent on keeping the ‘sound’ as big and exciting as ever.

With new band members cherry picked to keep things constantly evolving, the DSCB always offer something fresh, keeping fans old and new coming back for more.

Dutch Swing College Band takes place on Saturday, September 12, at 7.30pm.
