Derbyshire actor takes on role of Sherlock Holmes’ confidante

Derbyshire-based actor George Telfer is playing the friend and confidante of one of the greatest literary detectives of all time.

George, who lives in Chesterfield, takes on the role of Dr Watson in Talking Scarlet’s production of Sherlock Holmes & The Ripper Yarns.

Sam Clemens, whose dad Brian wrote the play, plays Sherlock in this tale of grisly killings in the slums of Victorian London.

Catch this detective story at Buxton Opera House from Monday, August 24, to Wednesday, August 26, at 7.30pm with a Wednesday matinee at 2.30pm.
