Cult radio hit Sir Henry at Rawlinson End heads for Buxton Opera House

Surreal comedy masterpiece Sir Henry at Rawlinson End is to be recreated at Buxton Opera House.

Mike Livesley and the Brainwashing House Orchestra will perform the late Viv Stanshall’s creation on August 2 at 7.30pm.

This is the stage version of Viv’s radio masterpiece which featured regularly on the John Peel Show.

Celebrity fans of the work include Stephen Fry, Rick Wakeman and Neil Innes, the latter performing with Viv in the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band.
