Cleaners talk dirty

Described as an evening of pure theatrical Viagra, the hilarious hit feel-good show Dirty Dusting is heading to Buxton Opera House for one night only, on Wednesday March 5.

A heart-warming, laugh out loud comedy, Dirty Dusting is hitting the road again after a sell-out UK tour in 2013 when it performed to rave reviews.

The play features a cast of familiar faces including Crissy Rock, from the hit TV series Benidorm and I’m a Celebrity, actress and comedienne Leah Bell and Pat Dunn, star of Hepburn, Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

Dirty Dusting tells the story of cleaning ladies Gladys, Elsie and Olive, who are about to be “put out to pasture” by their overzealous office manager Dave. Feeling they have little chance of gaining employment elsewhere, the ladies have to boost their falling income.

A chance wrong number requiring a sex chat line rings into the office and gives them a great idea… “Why not run a Sex Chat Line?”

After all, their age and appearance won’t matter on the telephone and providing they can keep this a secret from their boss they could be onto a winner!

Needless to say things don’t go entirely according to plan, and the play will have you rolling in the aisles and smiling every time you answer the phone.

Written by Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood, the production is directed by Leah Bell who injects the funny script with a fresh and lively approach, coupled with her own unique directing style.

Dirty Dusting will be performed at the Water Street theatre on Wednesday March 5, at 7.30pm. The show is suitable for ages 16 and over.

Tickets, priced £20, are available from the Box Office on 0845 127 2190 or online at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
