Some of the country’s biggest tribute acts are to perform live alongside a host of local bands and DJs at an all-day indoor music festival taking place in the Pavilion Gardens’ Octagon on Saturday February 8, from 1pm until 10.30pm.

The line-up for Buxton Rocks will feature acts playing homage to Guns N’ Roses, Blink 182, Pearl Jam, Motorhead, the Foo Fighters and Paul Weller/The Jam.

Hometown favourites will include The Hangtown Thieves, The Vipers, The Vermonts and 50 Shades, plus local DJs and performances by Rhythmic Dance School.

Chris Buckley, one of the organisers, said: “We are aiming to make Buxton Rocks a great event for local people, as well as attracting visitors from outside the area.

“The tribute bands are an attraction to gain an audience, but we really want to focus on the outstanding and forming musical talents that Derbyshire has on offer.”

He added: “We want to make the event grow and add extra venues over the coming year to make it a highlight on the local calender along with the many other excellent local events Buxton has to offer.”
