Director and writer Toni Saxton describes the play as “about people, about love, loss, blame – or rather who’s to blame” when your life unravels.

The play is centred on Caroline, whose life falls apart following the loss of her child. One day she finds herself alone in a coffee shop where she meets a young female barista, Perdy.

Can their chance meeting and a conversation over a cup of coffee help Caroline to navigate through her guilt?

Toni has found the play interesting to direct, saying: “It isn’t about making you like the characters but about witnessing how they react to their own and each other’s emotions.”

Toni first joined Buxton Drama League as a teenager, working her way up from chorus roles in pantomimes to leading roles on the opera house stage.

The cast of Caroline includes drama league regulars Maria Carnegie and Barrie Goodwin, along with newer talent in the form of Ioana Voisei and Dominic Bunka.
