Birchover celebrates 21st anniversary of open gardens

Visitors will be able to look around more than 30 gardens in the pretty Peakland village of Birchover.

The village is marking its 21st anniversary of open gardens with a range of attractions including demonstrations of wood turning, basket weaving and hedge laying and a birds of prey display

Afternoon teas will be served, fresh bread will be available from a wood-burning stove and there will be opportunities to look at old pictures of Birchover and listen to organ recitals in the church.

The celebratory weekend on June 6 and 7 will include a concert in the church on the Saturday night at 7.30pm. Tickets £4, accompanied children under 14 free.
