Author’s success story continues

An author who was born in Chesterfield has been shortlisted for a second major award this year.

Sunjeev Sahota is in the running for The Sunday Times / Peters Fraser & Dunlop Young Writer of the Year Award, only weeks after being shortlisted for the 2015 Man Booker Prize.

He is one of four authors on the shortlist. The winner will be announced on Thursday, December 10.

Sunjeev made the cut with his novel, The Year of the Runaway, which was also up for the 2015 Man Booker Prize. That award was won by Marion James’ publication, A Brief History of Seven Killings.
