Worcestershire's bowlers were frustrated by a ninth wicket stand between Tony Palladino and Tom Taylor on the third morning of the County Championship Division Two match against Derbyshire at Derby.

The pair added 45 in 20 overs to carry Derbyshire to a second batting point after Joe Leach had taken two wickets in consecutive overs to finish with figures of 4 for 50.

Ed Barnard took the last two wickets as Derbyshire were bowled out for 275 with wicketkeeper Ben Cox celebrating his 200th first-class catch when he held an edge from Taylor.

Worcestershire were left with a tricky 20 minutes batting before lunch but Daryl Mitchell and Brett D’Oliveira negotiated five overs to reach 24 for 0 at the interval.
