Thieves leave empty handed after break-in at Hathersage pub

Offenders used tools to force open the ground floor window of a Hathersage pub in a late-night raid yesterday (Sunday, May 9).

The offenders damaged a CCTV Camera but left empty handed, and officers investigating the break-in are appealing for information.

Derbyshire police said: "In the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday, May 8) offenders used tools to force open the ground floor window of the Scotsman’s Pack on School Lane, Hathersage.

"Once inside, they carried out a search before leaving the pub empty handed. A CCTV camera inside the pub was also damaged.

"The incident is believed to have taken place between 2.25am and 2.50am on Sunday, May 8."
