Woman airlifted to hospital after Buxton crash

A woman was airlifted to hospital after a crash in Buxton.

Police and fire crews were called at around 3.40pm yesterday (Thursday, June 30) to the road between Peak Forest and Castleton.

The crash involved two cars, a Corsa and a Mondeo.

The Corsa driver, who is a 35-year-old American woman, had a broken arm and was airlifted to the Northern General in Sheffield as a precaution.

Her passenger and the driver of the Mondeo were not seriously injured.

The road was closed until 5.15pm.
