Glossop deli staff keep shtum for charity
She will be attempting to serve customers in complete silence from 10am until 4pm on Silent Saturday with the help of written response cards.
Sarah Mitchell, co-owner said: “Should Tracey break the silence she will have a £5 penalty to pay! The banter between us and customers is a highlight of our week and I know some are looking forward to getting their own back, but they’ll have to pay for the privilege!”

Hide AdThe foundation supports orphans in South Africa and Tracey hopes to raise some money to take out to the orphanage when she visits at the end of February.
Founder Lisa Ashton, pictured, will be helping out in the shop on the day.
