Four Inns Walk challenge for mountain rescue members
Established in 1957, the walk, on April 5, is a competitive event organised by the Derbyshire Scouts Council and covers 65 kilometres of the roughest and toughest moorlands in the Peak District.
In 1964, three scouts lost their lives while taking part in the walk, which led to the formation of the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation and the Buxton team, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary by aiming to raise £50,000 for a new control vehicle.
