Man shoved Buxton shopworker who tried to stop him stealing tenth bottle of spirits in Morrisons

Wayne Dolan, of Seymour Street, Manchester, pleaded guilty to theft, assault and going equipped with pliers at Morrison’s earlier this month.
The 44-year-old visited the shop twice on Sunday, March 1 and stole eight bottles of spirits.

Hide AdOn Wednesday, March 4 he returned and tried to steal two more bottles of spirits, but he was challenged by a member of staff.
When he was challenged he pushed the shop assistant, but he was detained and arrested. He was searched and officers who found that Dolan had a pair of pliers.
Mr Dolan was sentenced by magistrates to 26 weeks in prison.
He was also ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge when he appeared at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Thursday, March 5.
