Buxton’s High Footpath saga continues
Buxton’s High Footpath is no closer to being re-opened, more than two years after it was closed on safety grounds.
Derbyshire County Council confirmed this week: “The high footpath will remain closed until the owner of the wall has carried out repairs necessary to ensure the safety of people using the path. We’ve made every effort to persuade the landowner to repair the wall without success. We’re keen to see the path re-open but we have to put safety first.”
