Justin Townes Earle plugs new album on tour

Justin Townes Earle, widely regarded as a forefather of contemporary Americana, is on tour to promote his new album.

He plays Manchester’s Band on the Wall on Monday, January 19, and at Nottingham’s Glee Club on February 4 as part of a seven-venue UK tour .

His new album Absent Fathers was released last week and is a companion to Single Mothers which was snapped up by his fans on its launch in the autumn.

The albums were recorded live with his four-piece touring band with only days of rehearsal leading up to recording to keep the ideas fresh.
