Buxton Opera House is running a special competition to celebrate the launch of its new season.

The theatre is offering customers the chance to win a ‘Switched On Season Pass’, which will admit one lucky winner and their guest to every show at Buxton Opera House & Pavilion Arts Centre from January 1 to April 30 2016. There are around 100 events to attend including stand-up comedy, theatre, ballet, circus and music.

Jenny Mather, Buxton Opera House Press Officer said: “This is the first time we have offered such a high value theatre pass and we hope customers will agree it’s a very exciting prize. The spring season is packed full of events for everyone and we encourage the public to get behind their theatre and take a look at all what’s on offer.”

The prize draw coincides with Buxton Christmas lights switch on tonight (Friday), which welcomes opera house panto star Kelsey Beth Crossley (Emmerdale, The Voice) to turn on the lights.

For all the details of the Christmas lights switch on, see HERE

Customers have seven days to book their tickets from the moment the lights are switched on by Kelsey, estimated to be around 6.40pm, to be in with a chance of winning. Anyone who buys a ticket to an event, either online or at the box office will be automatically entered into the prize draw.

There’s a long list of famous people and events to see including Gilbert O’Sullivan and Lulu in concert, the musicals Blood Brothers and Tell Me on a Sunday with Jodie Prenger; comics Ruby Wax, Ed Byrne, Julian Clary, Stewart Francis and survival expert Ray Mears.

Entries for the prize draw end at 8pm on Friday November 27; the winner will be announced the following week. Buxton Opera House website is the best place to browse the new season events, buy tickets or find out more about the prize draw visit:
