Visit the land of percussion

A BRAND new percussion spectacular is set to make a bang at Buxton Opera House later this month.

DrumChasers will be performing at the Water Street venue on Tuesday September 27 at 7.30pm.

From the creators of the internationally successful Noise Ensemble, the innovative stage show features ten virtuosic dancers and percussionist.

An explosion of sound and light with a story of rivalry, romance and rhythm – DrumChasers is thrilling entertainment for all ages.

With recorded narration from Stephen Fry, DrumChasers tells the story of Mr Bennett, a caretaker in an old concert hall who cares for the instruments stored within its walls.

However, one night, something happens, something loud and something otherworldly and he is transported to the land of the DrumChasers, a land of percussion where forbidden love struggles to be heard against the noise of rival gangs.

It is left to Mr Bennett to settle this ancient dispute and bring peace and, finally, quiet.

Like no other drum show, DrumChasers is an entirely new concept – a musical without words, but with drums.

Tickets for DrumChasers are priced at £15 and £17 and discounts are available.
