The National Trust’s Penny Pot café in Edale is hosting a night of tales and tunes tomorrow (Friday).
Customers can enjoy a delicious bowl of wintry stew while listening to haunting tales of the Peak District by National Trust story-teller, Simon Atherton, and live folk music courtesy of Sheffield duo the Three Musky Beards.
Guests might hear the chilling tale of the mad woman’s stones, and chuckle at some funny fables of local country characters, as well as listening to the winning entries of the recent Moorland Plants Poetry Competition. The Three Musky Beards, Geoff Hunter and Ric Booth will entertain with fun and friendly finger-picking folk music, creating stories through soundscapes as they play traditional folk music with a twist.
Tales and Tunes runs from 7.30pm-11pm and costs £10 per person. To book, call 01433 670368 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
