An exhibition of striking snowy landscape pictures by Whaley Bridge photographer Dave Butcher is to open at Derby Cathedral Centre this weekend.
White Peaks will feature a range of hills and mountain scenes, many of which will be familiar to anyone who knows Derbyshire.
Dave has over 30 years’ experience in photography, specialising in black and white, using film and traditional dark room techniques to ensure the clarity and precision of the images.
He said: “I take a lot of city photographs and these now comprise a greater part of my business than my landscapes, but I feel most at home when I am in the great outdoors on a hill or mountain, especially in snowy winter conditions which are great for black and white.”
The exhibition will be held in the Sir Richard Morris Lounge and opens on Saturday.
It continues until Friday February 28, open Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm.
