BUXTON Opera House will provide an enchanting stage adaptation of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and other stories – beautifully told with puppetry in black light on Friday November 11 at 1pm and Saturday November 12 at 10.30am and 2pm.
The wonderful performance by KW & NB Ltd will include adaptations of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Little Cloud and The Mixed-up Chameleon – all originally written by the award-winning children’s book illustrator and writer Eric Carle.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar follows the wonderful adventures of a very tiny and very hungry caterpillar that progresses through an amazing variety of foods towards its eventual metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly.
Children will delight in the antics of Little Cloud. High up in the sky,
Little Cloud slips away from the rest and transforms itself into various shapes of the things it sees – a sheep, an airplane, a shark and more.
In the third piece The Mixed-Up Chameleon, the little chameleon is bored with its life, sitting about predictably changing colour all day.
So it decides to embark on an adventurous trip to the zoo, wishing it could be more like the other animals.
Tickets for The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favourites are priced at £11 for children and £12 for adults.
