A big healthy slice of life is on the menu from award-winning stand-up Sarah Millican at Buxton Opera House on February 6.
She’s the North-Easterner who likes to tackle the big issues of the day: love, relationships and cake. Lots of cake.
Can’t you find Mr Right, no matter how much you drink? Does you mum act like a teenager, and your teenager act like your granny? Is someone in your house smelly but you’re not sure who?
These are the topics dissected with a surreal insight into the madness of modern life.
Sarah has had yet another amazing year in 2010, which included a second appearance on McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and her first Radio 4 series ‘Sarah Millican’s Support Group’, which has now been commissioned for a second series.
Sarah’s also been confirmed as a regular panellist on award-winning daytime ITV chat show ‘Loose Women’, with her tenure on the sofa beginning this month.
Her most recent live comedy offering ‘Sarah Millican - Chatterbox’ has sold out every show to date including her Edinburgh Festival run at the Stand, which went to extra shows at the Assembly Rooms.
Her two previous shows ‘Sarah Millican – Typical Woman’ and debut show ‘Sarah Millican’s Not Nice’ both sold out and received high praise from the critics. In ‘Chatterbox’ Sarah offers advice for life including non-fattening stress relief, the alternative to marriage and the acceptable face of adultery.
Sarah’s recent TV appearances include BBC 2’s The Bubble, Live At The Apollo and Mock The Week. Sarah can also be heard as a regular guest on the new Radio 5 series ‘7 Day Sunday’.
