It’s now halfway through the first week and our nerves have begun to settle down!
Buxton Opera House is a beautiful theatre and we were all excited to be working there, but the welcome we received from the Opera House staff when we arrived made it feel even more special.
We had brilliant audiences for the first couple of shows and that trend has continued all week.
As we become more confident in our performances we’ve enjoyed it more and more – I’ve particularly loved working with the young dancers who play the dwarfs, they’ve been fantastic.
Everyone is getting on so well: it feels very much like a family.
It’s also been good to meet people waiting backstage, when they bring their children round to say hello to Snow White.
It’s great to hear their comments, particularly when they tell us what a good family show it is.
l Olivia appears as Snow White in Channel Theatre Company’s presentation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which runs at Buxton Opera House until Saturday January 1, 2012.
Tickets for the show are priced from £15 to £19. Discounts are available.
