Mr Tea and the Minions, Jungle Lion and Doomsday Outlaw at Dronfest

The line-up at Cliffe Park, Dronfield, on August 4 include acclaimed local bands Doomsday Outlaw and Jungle Lion.

Doomsday Outlaw are described as ‘a ten-legged Armageddon machine rolling out of darkest Derbyshire, spitting heavy riffs and heavier grooves in all directions’.

Jungle Lion, the 12-piece ska and reggae band from Sheffield, who describe themselves as ‘all about good times, party atmosphere and lots of dancing.’

Mr Tea and The Minions will headline this year’s annual music event which will be aiding good causes including Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support, St John’s Ambulance Dronfield and Dronfield Cardio Group.

The bands will be performing in this order:

Main stage - The Shoals (12.40pm-1.10pm), Johnny and the Moondogs (1.30pm-2pm), Liberty Ship (2.20pm-3pm), Badlands (3.20pm-4pm), Doomsday Outlaw (4.25pm-5.15pm), Firecracker (5.40pm-6.20pm), Ribeye (7pm-7.40pm), Jungle Lion (8.30pm-9.30pm), Mr Tea and The Minions (9.50pm-11pm).

Other stage - The Sheffield Sick Notes (12.15pm - 12.40pm), Oliver Lee Barrett (1.10pm-1.30pm), Katy Bosworth featuring Cary Baylis (2pm-2.20pm), Jacob Cook (3pm-3,20pm), Henderson (4pm-4.35pm), Jayrar (5.15pm-5.40pm), Tommy R. Jones (6.20pm-7pm), EZIO (7.40pm-8.30pm).

Festival organiser John Aspinall said: “Dronfest 2018 will be bigger and better than ever before, with fantastic acts from across the region performing throughout the day and evening.

“There will be all kinds of entertainment across the day to keep everyone happy, with food and drink, massages, hair styling, a clairvoyant and henna tattoos. For families there will be bouncy castles, inflatable games, face painting, ice cream, children’s workstation and a treasure hunt.

“With proceeds going to help the families supported by Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, and other charities, not only will everyone have a fantastic day out, but also backing some really worthwhile causes.”
