Male voice choir returns

Tideswell Male Voice Choir make a welcome return to the Parish Church of St George in New Mills on Saturday April 30, at 7.30pm.

The concert is the third and last in a spring season of musical evenings to mark the completion of restoration work to repair the spire and roofing of the 180-year-old heritage building.

The choir will be performing a varied programme from their extensive repertoire, including some old favourites together with less well-known ones and, of course, the odd surprise item.

Major concerts at Buxton Opera House, with top-class performers including Aled Jones and the world-famous girls’ choir Cantamus, have established the choir as a professional-standard producer of high-quality, spectacular entertainment.

Tickets, priced £7 (concessions £5), can be obtained in advance from Priscilla’s Card Shop, Market Street, New Mills, or can be reserved by calling 01663 743147 or emailing Refreshments will be served in the interval.
