Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, the inspiration behind Disney’s hit movie Frozen, will be brought to the Buxton Opera House stage next month by Ballet Theatre UK.

A perfect treat for both families and ballet lovers alike The Snow Queen tells the story of an evil sorceress who has placed the kingdom into an eternal winter. Only true love can break the spell and a young girl sets out to bring back the spring. Guided by the sprightly Raven, she meets plenty of characters along the way including the reindeer, sparkling ice princesses and enchanted snowmen.

Ballet Theatre UK’s renowned company of international dancers perform to a magical score, with beautifully designed costumes and a stage set that can only be described as magnificent.

Ballet Theatre UK brought The Little Mermaid in 2014 and are firm favourites with audiences across the country.

Snow Queen takes place on Saturday, January 9, at 2.30pm. Tickets are priced from £17 to £25, discounts are available. To buy tickets contact 01298 72190 or visit
