Leading light

A LEADING light of a new generation of singer-songwriters, who has toured with the likes of the Foo Fighters and Tori Amos, will be appearing on stage at the Pavilion Arts Centre on Sunday February 19 as part of the Four Four Time Festival of Live Music.

Scott Matthew’s wide and varied love of music has led to a promising career.

In 2006, Scott released his ground-breaking debut album Passing Stranger, which received much airplay on BBC Radio 2 from the likes of Janice Long, Mark Radcliffe and Bob Harris.

His first single, Elusive, earned Scott support from the likes of Jo Whiley, Dermot O’Leary, and Zane Lowe, who made it his Single of the Week. The song went on to win the Ivor Novello Award.

His latest album, What The Night Delivers, was released last autumn.

The performance begins at 8pm. Tickets, priced £14, are available on 0845 127 2190 or online at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
