ONLY a handful of tickets remain for international DJ Judge Jules’ long-awaited appearance in Buxton.

The award-winning dance music DJ and producer will be spinning the decks in the main room at Level 2 Nightclub, on the Market Place, on Friday evening.

He will be supported during the six-hour music marathon by DJs Nick Sheldon (Anthemia) and Dave Thompson (Arches Sheffield).

Pete Watmough, co-owner/manager of Level 2, said: “Anthemia is a night which proved very popular, playing club classics with Sheldon, Chrissy B and their team of DJs.

“So due to popular demand we set out to secure the legendary Judge Jules, who will be supported by Sheldon, and Dave Thompson who was one of Level 2’s first resident DJs specialising in hard trance and dance music.”

One of dance music’s most popular figures, Jules has notched up hundreds of thousands of miles, millions of spins of the decks and countless gigs at clubs and festivals in far-flung destinations around the world, during a career spanning 25 years.

Rarely out of DJ Mag’s top 15 in the annual Top 100 DJs poll, he has won such accolades as: “Best DJ” (Muzik Awards), No.1 DJ (Mixmag reader’s poll), “Best International DJ” (Dancestar) and “Best Radio DJ” at the Smirnoff Dancestars.

The former BBC Radio One DJ is also a veteran of the Ibiza clubbing scene, and he will again be heading back to the island next year with his legendary Judgement Sundays club night at San Antonio super club Eden - his 14th consecutive season.

Famed for his production and remix work on compilations, he also released a debut solo album in 2006.

The DJ has just completed a remix for Giuseppe Ottaviani’s ‘Lost For Word’ featuring Amba Shepherd, which is available now on Vandit records.

Doors at Level 2 open at 9.30pm and the night runs until 3.30am.

The evening is expected to be a sell-out, with less than 50 tickets remaining as the Advertiser went to press this afternoon (Wednesday).

These are still available in advance, priced £12, by calling 01298 23322 or 07778 754838.

Any unsold tickets will be available on the door, priced £15.
