THE SHAKESPEARE play Much Ado About Nothing is coming to Tissington Hall gardens on Wednesday June 15, at 7.30pm.
Gloucester-based The Rain or Shine Theatre Company bring this classic battle-of-the-sexes comedy to the hall, near Ashbourne, which will be a fitting early Jacobean setting.
This aptly-named company of travelling players - almost direct descendents of the Elizabethan strolling players - tour the country with their lively and hugely enjoyable productions of classic comedies, and can be guaranteed to give hilarious performances, bursting with energy and fun, that are at the same time true to both the word and the spirit of the original.
The Tissington gardens open at 6pm for picnics, and drinks will be available in the interval.
Seating is not provided, so guests are asked to take along camping chairs, rugs and appropriate warm, waterproof clothing.
Tickets are priced £13.50 (£11.50 concessions, £10 children aged 10-16).
Although some tickets may be available at the door on the evening of June 15, booking is advisable.
