Final performances of Buxton Festival’s operas

There is still an opportunity to see a hat-trick of operas as Buxton Festival 2016 heads into its final few days.

Tamerlano is Handel’s opera about a warlike Emperor who falls in love with the daughter of his captive rival. The production has its last performance tonight (Thursday, July 21).

Leonore by Beethoven features Kirstin Sharpin as Leonore. She is pictured with David Danholt who is cast as Florestan. The opera will be staged on July 22.

The final performance of I Capuleti e i Montecchi is on July 23.
