The John Godber Company & Theatre Royal in Wakefield are bringing a double dose of hilarious observational drama to Buxton Opera House.
Opening tonight (Thursday) and running until Saturday, they will present two short consecutive plays: Lost & Found, set at the Court Hotel on the Yorkshire Coast.
In Lost, it’s the first day of the summer season and Tom and Chelsea have holiday jobs at the Court Hotel. They love their work; they could watch it all day, especially Len and Betty whose 50-year-old marriage has run aground.
Found fast-forwards to the last night of the summer season when Tom and Chelsea’s holiday job is now a distant memory.
The Court Hotel brought them together, but ambition will pull them apart.
Evening performances take place at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
Tickets, priced from £12 to £16, are available on 0845 127 2190 or at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
