Buxton Festival’s taste of the Peak

Talented local chefs will be championing Derbyshire produce, as well as showing audiences how to create mouth-watering dishes, at Buxton Festival in July.

The Festival is set to get tastebuds tingling with interactive cookery demonstrations to share the Taste of the Peaks with audiences, as well as presenting art demonstrations by successful local artists.

On July 20, AA rosette holder Simon Bradley from East Lodge Country House Hotel will show off his culinary skills, followed by AA rosette holder Todd Carroll from Buxton’s Nat’s Kitchen on July 10, while chefs from the Tideswell School of Food show audiences how to create a delicious meal with excellent local produce on July 14 and 24 at their hugely popular cookery school.

New to the Festival this year are fascinating art demonstrations that will shed light on the unusual mixed-media techniques employed by the artists commissioned to create the Buxton Festival brochure front cover images in 2011 and 2012, with the brilliant Rob Wilson (July 8) and Ingrid Karlsson-Kemp (July 15).
