THE OCKBROOK Big Band will return to the Buxton Dome this November for another show-stopping night of 1940s-inspired music and dance.
The event, organised by the University of Derby Buxton’s events management company Dome Events, will take place on Friday November 23, from 7.30pm.
The impressive 18-piece band has 15 years of experience in delivering exciting, themed musical performances.
The band takes pride in performing in 1940s clothing, covering a wealth of well-known songs from over three decades, including those of legendary big band musician Glen Miller.
Emily Ibbotson, Events Manager for Dome Events, said: “Following the huge success of last year’s Big Band night, The Ockbrook Big Band will return to the Dome for a second year to help guests get into the swing of things.
“So put on your finest 40s outfit and join us for a night of fantastic music at the iconic Devonshire Dome.”
The event will be an opportunity for people of all ages to dress up, sing along and dance the night away.
Guests are also welcome to take along their own picnics.
Tickets, priced £15 for adults or £7.50 for concessions, are available from www.unishop.derby.ac.uk, or call 01298 330606.
