BUXTON’S Pavilion Arts Centre will be encouraging children aged two to four to ‘loose themselves in their imagination’ with an exciting and creative new concept.
Beanbag Stories will be taking place every month, starting on Sunday September 18, from 11.15am to noon, providing a chance for the cheeky monkeys of the High Peak to explore their ‘mind’s eye’ while relaxing on comfy beanbags.
The ‘brainchild’ of Buxton Opera House’s Kaleidoscope Learning and Participation team, the monthly event encourages children to learn through storytelling – discovering new worlds, far off kingdoms and setting sail on the seven seas.
The unique sessions aim to nurture child development by improving speaking, listening and concentration skills – while most importantly having lots of fun.
Children can attend as little or as many sessions as they like with no need to commit to the whole season.
With stories, sounds and songs, Beanbag Stories delivers effective, creative play for shuffle bottoms and babies – not to be missed.
Tickets for Beanbag Stories are priced at £5 for children, with an accompanying adult admitted for free. Discounts are available.
