A catchy blend of fine lyrics, gypsy jazz, bluegrass, packaged as North Eastern Swing, will be performed in a lively show.

Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra will be bringing their sound to Spring Bank Arts Centre, New Mills, on November 28.

Their style is influenced by early 20th century American music, with the addition of “razor-sharp” solos, great arrangements and original songs; their music harks back to a golden age whilst staying perfectly modern.

Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra are one of the hardest working bands on the UK roots circuit.

With thousands of touring miles under their belts, they have earned themselves a sizeable fan base in the UK, Europe and beyond. Huey Morgan from BBC Radio 2 said of the group “That’s one hot band right there!”

If you enjoy evenings of high quality fun lively music entertainment, are fans of 20th century American, folk, jazz or blues music do not miss out on what is going to be a feet tapping, hands clapping night.

A licensed bar will be open from 7pm and the concert starts at 7.30pm.

The event is brought to New Mills by Live and Local.

Tickets cost £10 and £8 (15 years and under or 60 years and over), from Spring Bank Arts, tel. 01663 308202 or High Street Books, New Mills.
