Dome hosts photo show

A photographic exhibition celebrating the work of the Victorian Society opens in Buxton today (Thursday).

It will be held in The Dome, until July 27 and will be open daily from 9am to 10pm (Sunday 5pm). Admission is free.

Curated by leading architectural historian Gavin Stamp, Saving a Century illustrates some of the society’s most remarkable campaigns and charts the successes and defeats of the organisation that has done much to change public attitudes towards the best of 19th century architecture.
