A well good show!

STAND-UP comic Simon Brodkin will be at Buxton Opera House in character as south London geezer Lee Nelson on Wednesday November 2, at 7.30pm.

Star of the BBC3 Well Good Show, Lee Nelson is fast becoming the next big ‘legeeeend’!

Brodkin has won several competitions and awards for his work, including Brighton’s Komedia comedy competition, and he won The Writers’ Guild Award for Best Newcomer in Edinburgh.

Lee Nelson has been compared to Matt Lucas’ character Vicky Pollard and Catherine Tate’s Lauren Cooper, but Brodkin has won praise for his more three-dimensional character that is gentler and more likeable than his contemporary’s – but no less brazen or shameless.

Lee Nelson’s TV show includes a guest appearance from his huge and dopey friend Omelette, and a karaoke set from his ‘chav-tastic’ granny.

Tickets for Lee Nelson... Live!, priced £22.50, are available from the Buxton Opera House box office on 0845 127 2190 or online at www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
