Disley’s senior teams endured a torrid weekend against neighbours Pott Shrigley in the Meller Braggins Cheshire Cricket League.
The 1st XI were dismissed for just 76, a total surpassed comfortably despite four quick wickets from Martin Blackbourn at one stage reducing the Hillmen to 23-4.
The 2nd XI fared little better, sent back for 85 after Damian O’Connor (3-35) and Jonathan Ogden (3-50) had done their best to tame the Pott batsmen.
With junior cricket finished for 2011, the only Sunday action was a friendly against Derbyshire side Elton.
Disley tallied an impressive 184-8 from their 40 overs, a total which proved enough thanks to a controlled bowling display.
The visitors were dismissed for 139 with seven of the eight bowlers used claiming wickets, skipper Adam Burgess returning the best figures with 3-29 which included a superb one-handed catch off his own bowling.
